Mayara Arnold has a B.S. in Environmental Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil and a M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Her master’s thesis involved investigating the impacts of operational parameters of ozone-biofiltration systems, such as ozone dose and empty bed contact time, on the removal of bulk organics as well as on the mitigation of disinfection by-products formation upon final chlorination. Ms. Arnold’s past experience also includes operation of pilot-scale ozonation and filtration systems at the Southern Nevada Water Authority. Her current work at Trussell Tech includes project planning, technical reports, data analysis, literature reviews, and laboratory analyses for several water quality parameters. Ms. Arnold is interested in diverse water quality issues, including potable reuse, advanced treatment alternatives, and disinfection byproducts mitigation.
